ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas
- Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress; use data to guide instructional decisions
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide activities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators to support student success
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by school administration
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to meeting the diverse learning needs of all students
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
