 General Description and Conditions of Work 

IT (Information Technology) Coordinator is responsible for implementing all technology and computing applications for the school system while managing a team of IT employees and overseeing their performance. Their duties include maintaining computer systems, managing IT staff members, and implementing new technology upgrades. Be on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week for emergency situations, including weather.

Frequent travel to the division’s schools is required. Regular contact with administrators, faculty, and staff is required.  Most possess effective communication skills.

 

Primary administrative work is typically done in an office setting. Frequent visits to work sites are required.  Occasional operation of automated computer office equipment is required.

 

Frequent travel to school sites and occasional state-wide or regional travel is required. Attendance to meetings outside the normal duty hours is frequently required.  Regular interaction with principals, faculty, staff, School Board members, advisory committees, students, parents, and the community are regularly required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree, along with experience in a supervisory role, is required.
