Position: Custodian – Second Shift
Location: Bland County Elementary School
Schedule: Second Shift (afternoon/evening hours)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Bland County Public Schools is seeking a reliable and motivated Second Shift Custodian for Bland County Elementary School. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors

• Empty trash and recycling and properly dispose of waste

• Restock restrooms and cleaning supplies as needed

• Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities

• Follow established safety, cleaning, and sanitation procedures

• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Custodial or related experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
